Court and Kingdom

Just after dawn Wednesday, Ventura Blvd. in Studio City. Found this single man set up with no less than seven shopping carts full of all his earthly possessions. His fortress seemed a dual-edged sword, it both protected him from the immediacy of the sidewalk and street and attracted my attention like a neon sign as I drove past. I pulled over to document the scene, and was quickly approached by another man -presumably living out of his recreational vehicle- who told me this is only a sign of things to come as our men and women in uniform return home from the battlefield.
