Just the beginning folks.

The Islamic states circulated a new resolution at the current session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva on Wednesday that would criminalize defamation of Islam as a human rights violation and encourage the imposition of Shari'a.

According to the nonbinding governmental resolution, titled "Combating Defamation of Religions," anything deemed insulting to Islamic sensitivities would be banned as a "serious affront to human dignity" and a blatant violation of religious freedom.

The resolution would attempt to influence "local, national, regional and international levels" to incorporate such guarantees of this perceived freedom in their "legal and constitutional systems."

Sharia law is Gods law, interpreted correctly it is fair as it was designed by God.

Hey Sputnic,

Whose G-d are you talking about? My G-d, your G-d, our G-d, their G-d, those Gods over there in India, or how about the ONE G-d that we all share. Enough of all this politically correct nonsense and lets just spell it out. Spill the beans and say it! Who the hell is he/she. I want to know. Do you know?

Is my experience of an integrated Self that knows nothing and everything in and of itself the same G-d you are talking about?

Enlighten us please!

Read the quran and enlighten yourself. Interesting to note that in the comment you posted previous to mine you mentioned the word rant!

"Sharia law is Gods law, interpreted correctly it is fair as it was designed by God."

Keywords are "if intepreted correctly". That if remains to be an if.

So is all the religious books in all the religions, Sputnic. You advice only to read quran and enligten oneself. But that is not necessary. Whatever quran say in Arabic, has been said in Hindu Vedas and Upanishads many thouand's of years before in  Sanskrit. So do the teachings of Budha said similar things in Pali.

Have you ever read any other religious book in your life or only quran. If not I recommend you to read the Hindu vedas and Upanishads. And see for yourself  if they say the same thing mentioned in quran or not.

Most religions are similar at their core I agree, the scientific miracles of the quran prove to me that the quran is the word of God and others are the word of man where they conflict with the qurans teachings. There are many good aspects in all the worlds religions. Have you ever read the quran?

From where you live, Sputnic, when you get up in the morning  - say 06:00 , it will be 11:30 for me. To you it is time for brush , wash face and to do other morning chores. Does that mean that me too do the same thing what you do even if it is 11:30 for me? That is what you are trying to say here. The watch shows you 0600, my watch shows me 11:30. Scientifically both are correct. If that is the case, why are you telling others to brush even if it is 11:30 for them?

As an answer to your question, yes I have read quran. I have read the Bible too.Even gone through numerous other relegious publications of different reletions and sects etc. If you filter out the localization aspects , frills and bells they are basically trying to say the same thing.

Would you care to answer my question now? If the answer is no, then would you mind explaining why not?

Sputnic, Brother,

Please refer Surah Al-An'am verse 108. That says not to insult those who disbelieve unless they insult Allah. Allah gets insulted because you, the practising muslim insult others. Then how good a muslim are you.
Further the verse says that to teach his own doing. We believers are the people who know the truth, it is upon us to help those who don't. Not to label , nor to disgrace them.

Finally, if you don't agree with the above said words, please read this atleast.

I would say no more.

damn I am jealous Agent.. you are good..you owned him..

by the way.. two things ..

1. he is saying all other books are word of man except Quran.. he is not even a Muslim if he thinks Tora and Bible are words of man.

2. re this resolution about outlawing defamation? very laudable move.. If Saudia stops funding the redical Islamic movements then this defamation will never occur hence no need of the law.

but that cant happen.. Saudia will keep using the money it gets from us for its oil to fund the radicals.

If ever this piece of ideological totalitarianism becomes "world law", it will be a law eminently deserving of contempt, resistance and violation on a mass scale. No piece of religious imperialism like this is going to either override my rights of free speech as an American (more to the point, as a human being) or intimidate me into submitting to mind control. Let's be real: this is it - the big play, the push for an Orwellian world run by the thought police.
If there are any poor chumps out there still so naive as to think this is nothing more than an attempt to stop "nasty" people from saying "hateful" things about another person's religion - wake up already. First of all, even if that were all it was, it's STILL an assault on human freedoms. But that's not nearly all it is. Keep in mind that, from the Islamic point of view, even to say that the Koran is not the word of God, that Mohammed made it all up, that where the Koran presents an altered version of accounts from the Old and New Testaments (like, for instance, Judas dying on the cross in Jesus' place), the Koran tells blantant, culturally and ideologically motivated fabrications - all this is "hate speech", deserving of death. And if you don't think the Moslem societies will capitalize in every way possible on a law like that being suggested here in order to control and shape world thinking and impose their beliefs, well, I've got a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.
In one way, this proposed law is incredibly dangerous, but in another way it's meaningless. Dangerous because of the threat to our freedoms, and yet... meaningless because, ultimately, such a moronic law cannot trump human freedoms. The truth ultimately prevails.

Thanks for comments Ken,

I am afraid that in Europe the subjugation of free speech is closer to reality as every day passes. Keep fighting to prevent this kind of craziness from usurping the constitution.
