Today I bought the Zimbabwean. As dictator Robert Mugabe entrenches his brutal regime despite elections which have, according to all estimates, ousted him from power, the soaring inflation rate continues to worsen. This paper costs UK60p, 0.90 Euros, or Zim$3 million!

Despite the ominous situation, SA Pres. Tabo Mbeki, continues to deny any crisis. Mugabe continues to make a mockery of Mbeki's policy of "quiet diplomacy", which, basically, helps keep Mugabe in power.

The headline, "A New Dawn" is tourism-related and doesn't refer to what is desperately needed in this beleaguered country.
