Crossing the river

This was on our trip back to Jufureh. The little boat wasn't exactly the most convincing especially with this little guy bailing out the water which was pouring in. He told me that he was studying to be the captain of the boat one day. I hope the boat lasts that long.

EDIT: I saw a documentary on tv about children in West Africa being indentured to boat captains and an NGO that tries to free them. I now wonder if this guy was in a similar situation. It might explain his expression and the contrast between his effort versus the two guys lounging behind him.
