Yesterday after 8 a.m. in the intersection of Russ Baker Way and Miller Road in Richmond (Vancouver - Canada) a cyclist was struck by a dump truck and died later in the hospital.
RICHMOND -- A cyclist who collided with a dump truck in Richmond Thursday morning has died of his injuries. The incident happened just after 8 a.m. at the intersection of Russ Baker Way and Miller Road. The man was transported to hospital but later died due to injuries sustained in the collision.
A collision between man and metal usually has a tragic outcome and, unfortunately for a male cyclist, that proved true yet again in Richmond yesterday.
Southbound traffic was slowed to a crawl coming off the Arthur Laing Bridge after a dump truck collided with a male cyclist at the intersection of Russ Bayer Way and Miller Road just after 8 a.m.
Emergency personnel rushed the critically injured cyclist to hospital, but he was declared dead soon after.
The intersection was blocked off for several hours as collision investigators studied the scene.
Police have not released the name of the cyclist.

As a cyclist, I want to read about this stuff, 'this type of thing affects me say, on a daily basis'. Some of the categories here are limited. It is a kind of Travel issue but there isn't a category.
