Her legs where legendary and insured at a million dollars each. In 1952 she made her start dancing with Gene Kelly.

She danced with the Ballet Russe before coming to Hollywood. After Gene Kelly Charisse danced and singed with Fred Astaire in Silk Stockings.

The actress-dancer from Texas died at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after suffering an apparent heart attack on Monday.
