According to a Press Release by the Green Party of the United States of America, Cynthia Mc Kinney was planning to attend a conference in Damascus, Syria. The purpose of the conference was to commemorate the 60th anniversary of The UN Declaration of Human Rights and "the denial of the Right of Return for Palestinians" [according to the Press Release].

Ms. Mc Kinney was unable to attend the conference since she was detained in the airport in Atlanta, Georgia for reasons yet to be addressed. She published a text of her speech in the Press Release. While the Press Release was issued on the 1st of December 2008, the incident happened on the 23rd of November 2008.

In the text of the speech, Ms. Mc Kinney talked about the denial of human rights in the USA and the Middle East. She also talked about the need to bring members of the Bush Administration to justice "in international litigation". The underwriter has again attempted to find a second opinion and was partially successful.

The questions are the following:

1. Why was this news publicized late?

2. Why did the US Mainstream Media ignore this news?

It is hoped that the underwriter will be able to get to the bottom of this by intervewing the Green Party and at the same time, converse with them about their poliicies and intentions.

I have E Mailed WXIA 11, an NBC Affiliate in Atlanta, Georgia concerning this news. The response if it comes will be exclusive for Now Public.

Well, actually, it would be exclusive to WXIA, unless it cares to share in the glory and if it cares to share the information.

Just a little nit.

Thanks for your comments. Actually, WXIA did not answer my E Mail. I am waiting for the response from the Green Party.

I have just received an E Mail from Cal Calaway from WXIA 11 who states that he did not receive any information. He further asked if I had any knowledge and I gave him the links of my article and of the references.
