The Dalai Lama cracks a joke in response to a question about the Chinese government. Making gestures like a demon with horns, the Tibetan spiritual leader said "the totalitarian [Chinese] government think of me as a demon". Dharamsala, India. 21/10/2009.

The Dalai Lama delivered spiritual Buddhist teachings on 'The four Noble Truths' to thousands of Buddhists from Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, China, Vietnam and Indonesia who converged at the main Tsuglagkhang temple in the northern Indian Hill town of Dharamsala to listen to the three day talk by their spiritual leader.

The Dalai Lama narrated an incident where someone had asked him "why the Chinese government is sort of afraid of me?". The spiritual leader jokingly responded, "because of my horns".
