Dalai Lama Supports Beijing Olympics:Tibetan Youth Differ

Mussoorie: As the support for the freedom of Tibet gains momentum.

The Relay Hunger strike reaches its 7th day in continuity organized by Tibetan Youth Congress, Regional Tibetan Congress, Regional Tibetan Women’s Congress reaches 7th day in continuity at the library Bazaar, near Gandhi Statue.

 Meanwhile at Delhi speaking to journalist His Holiness Dalai Lama, the spiritual head of Tibetan Buddhists clarified his support for the Beijing Olympics today. Thus rejecting the accusations made by Chinese officials that he was trying to sabotage the Olympics by clandestinely supporting the recent unrest in Lhasa. He added by stating that “China Deserves Olympic Games” and said it was too radical to boycott the games.

However, the Tibetan youth were of different view, on condition of not naming them, they reiterated that we would support Olympics games boycott movement. “How can China Go on with the games after what they are doing to Tibet. China’s gross violation of human rights has international dimension

s. Boycotting the games will send a message across to all countries that human right violation by any country is not to be taken for granted.

The Tibetan Youth also added cyber movement for Tibet liberation will continue.
