Today in Dharamshala (India) Mahamahim Tibetian guru Dalailama enroled his name for population counting. This is the world largest population census countiing which is going on in India. Officials will spend a year classifying India's population of around 1.2 billion people according to gender, religion, occupation and education. The exercise, conducted every 10 years, faces big challenges, not least India's vast area and diversity of cultures.

The counting of 1.billion heads, classification of every head counted in religion, gender does'nt make much sense. How many have access to health services, safe drinking water, living below poverty line with income less than a $ a day,how many children attend schools,if it finds mention in census report,we would be able to know where we stand.

Dalai Lama's enrollment is of no serious consequences either to Indians or Tibetians. It is a common perception that so-called spiritual men are wolves in goat's skin.
