The twenty-two-year-old dancer Chetania Davis was given a year of probation and no jail time for attacking a fellow dancer by stabbing her with stiletto heels. Jo Ellen Nolan, the woman whom Davis attacked, was 52 years old and just starting her job at a club in Akron, Ohio, where Davis worked. The victim of the assault had to have medical treatment for her injuries. Davis pleaded guilty to charges of misdemeanor assault.

Police say on Nolan's first night at work, Davis took exception to Nolan's presence in the dressing room at the club and began shouting at her.

Nolan says Davis then attacked her with a high-heel shoe, striking her in the head multiple times. After bouncers broke up the fight, Nolan was taken to Akron General Hospital, where she was treated for lacerations on her forehead and on the top and side of her head.

It is alleged Davis was not in favour of the new dancers at the club, which makes the case seem like yet another case of workplace violence.

Just recently, Yale pharmacology student Annie Le was murdered at her workplace. Her body was found in the wall of the laboratory where she worked. Her co-worker Raymond J. Clark III is in custody in connection with Le's murder.
