Daniel Cowart Wanted Nazi Tattoos Altered By State Before Prison
Daniel Cowart Who Faces Sentencing For Threatening to Kill 100 People Including President Obama Wanted His Nazi Tattoos Altered Before Starting Prison
Cowart faces sentencing on August 13 for eight federal charges such as threatening to kill President-to-be Barack Obama in 2008, along with transporting firearms, ammunition and a shotgun to be used to commit murder and robberies according to The Jackson Sun.
He and Paul Schlesselman, who has been sentenced to 10 years in jail already, planned a cross-country killing spree that would end with what they hoped would be the death of Obama. Both have been described as 'white supremacist skinheads'.
The government, whose documents were not sealed, has asked that Cowart not be given transport to have his tattoos removed, saying that voluntary cosmetic surgery would cause problems for the U.S. Marshals Service.
"The Marshals Service is wary of setting a precedent whereby they are obligated to devote substantial resources to transporting and escorting inmates between facilities for the purposes of voluntary cosmetic surgery," the response says.
When assigning Cowart to a prison, the Bureau of Prisons will take in to account Cowart's tattoos and obvious views on non-white races.
