Miss Kentucky Latina, Daniel Gaskie, 2010 Stripped Of Crown After Assault Charges
From Miss Kentucky Latina beauty pageant winner to potential prisonser, 22 year old Daniel Gaskie's fall from grace has been swift an nasty.
The Miss Kentucky Latina Winner for 2010 has been charged with assault, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief, according to local news reports.
Police say she stabbed a gas station attendant and beat up a pharmacist.
Mary Ann McKinney is still recovering from cuts and bruises she got about a week ago. The pharmacist says a woman was beating on her car, and when she walked outside to see what was going on, the woman started beating on McKinney.
"She immediately kicked me with her knee into my abdomen and ripped at me and tore my glasses off and ripped my neck and scratched me and busted my lip, had a knot on my head. She was quite wild," says McKinney, a pharmacist at M & M Drug in Richmond.
Police say Gaskie also stabbed an attendant at the Swifty gas station across the street from M & M Drug.
Apparently, the Miss Kentucky pageant organizers did not know about the assault charges until the TV news outlet until WKYT TV, infomed them.
After learning about Daniela Gaskie’s arrest and the seriousness of the charges pending against her, it was determined that she can no longer continue to represent the Miss Kentucky Latina title and she was officially advised of this decision,” said a statement from the Miss Latina U.S. pageant. The statement was e-mailed by Acirema Alayeto, president and founder of the organization.
Apparently, Daniel Gaskie is married which would have disqualified her from wearing being Miss Kentucky Latina regardless of the assault charges.

Daniela is a very kind and just totally sweet girl.. I know this because she is a friend of mine. She told me what really happened and the fact that she is trying to live with this wild acuzation shows how good of a person she is. She did say that there will be soon a press release for the Lexington news 36, just in case anyone is interested. Her attourneys and her personal investigators will help her out and support her (along with her family and friends) at her court hearing. I just wish that people would be smart enought to ask the 5 W’s and how…..People are stupid now days….I support Daniela Gaskie and I know that she is innocent!!Stay posted with the local news to see what she will wear to the court hearing.There was no stabbing... Daniela was asulted by the swiffty mart attendant.
