#daniel: Martin Neskovski Killed by Special Police in Macedonia Square

As Macedonians celebrated in the capital city of Skopje after a snap Parliamentary election, a young man was beaten to death by a member of the Tigres (Macedonian Special Police Force) in Macedonia Square. Many witnesses said that they saw the man, believed to be named Daniel, killed, but Macedonia's media is silent, and the police  denied the killing ever happened, despite the presence of hundreds of eyewitnesses. Several Macedonian online news organizations are picking up the story, though:

Citizens gathered in a city park to protest the killing, and they are using Facebook and Twitter to organize. They were able to get the police to admit that indeed a 22-year-old young man named Martin Neskovski was killed by police, and that Neskovski's death is being treated as a murder. We'll see if the cop actually gets prosecuted: Macedonia has a bit of a problem with police brutality.
