Up Date

Sparks man arrested for the murder of Brianna Denison and the kidnapping and rape of another girl is drawing interest out of state.

Investigators in Columbus, Ohio announced Friday that they are looking to Denison accused murderer, James Biela, as having a possible connection to up to seven sexual assault cases in their area.

Reno Police say they have made an arrest in the Brianna Denison murder case.  They will hold a press conference at 10:30 this morning to release new information.

Twenty-seven-year old James Biela was arrested and booked into the Washoe County Jail on Tuesday night.  He has been charged with murder, 1st degree kidnapping and sexual assault.

Police will not confirm that the arrest of Biela is related to the Denison case.

Nineteen- year old Brianna Denison was kidnapped from a home near the University of Nevada on Jan. 20. Police recovered her body from a field in South Reno on Feb. 15.

Police have linked the Denison case to other sexual assaults in the University of Nevada area using DNA evidence.

The Reno community has pulled together in efforts to find Denison's killer.  Residents have participated in a number of fundraisers to support DNA testing.

KRNV.com will stream the 10:30 a.m. news conference live. Stay with News 4 and KRNV.com for further information on this developing story.

I'm sure the Angels are aware they better keep him locked away ALONE. Thank you for advising so fast. I really appreciate that.

Great story update on a really disgusting act by a guy who thought he was getting away with it. Fat chance of that happening. I am glad his friends turned him in.
