Day 7 of Israeli War On Gaza; Death toll 435, injured 2300
Gaza Strip,2, January, 2oo9- For the 7th day in consequence, Israeli military machine pursue the suffocating air raids and shelling through the Gaza Strip. Today's bombings claimed lives of more Palestinian civilians while no militants recorded to be killed. Seven Palestinians killed today mostly children in the heavy ongoing raids.
Dramatically the number of victims still rise to reach 435 while wounded rise up to 2300 persons. The health conditions in Al shifa' hospital still direful while not much humanitarian aids entering Gaza Strip neither through Egypt nor Israel.
The humanitarian status still the same while the rage of it EXACERBATES due to ongoing War. Basics of life still not available but with limited quantities like fuel, benzene, gasoline, flour, wheat, sugar, rice and bread. Add to that, continued power cuts up to 20 hours during the cold weather of winter.
United Nations' OCHA said that Gaza is being exposed to the heaviest war actions ever. Meantime, many protests across all EU countries, USA, Australia, Arab countries and Asian are taking place. A considerable mainstream I is being automatically formed rejecting the recent Israeli deadly War against Gaza population.

How many of the civilians that were killed were living in buildings where Hamas stores weapons and hides its fighters? How many of these buildings hide rockets that are pounding Israel? Israel does not deliberately target civilians, Hamas does when it launches its rockets. Israel warns civilians that buildings with weapon stores will be bombed and what does Hamas do: They place women and children on the roofs.
With all the money the UN and Europe has poured into Gaza the place could be paradise, instead Hamas uses it to wage war. Hamas is a terrorist organization. They don't care about Israeli civilians and they have no problem putting the lives of Gaza's children at risk. The sooner they're gone the better everyone will be.

just where are the civilians in gaza supposed to go? egypt's border is closed. there is only the sea and the israel borders. gaza is as densely populated as manhatten. they are being bombed by the israel navy. they are invaded. they live in an area where you live where you can afford. they have been starved by israel for over a year before this invasion. they do not have medical supplies. they can only go to their basements or in the hallways to withstand bombing. the common material that buildings are constructed from can not stop a bullet let alone a bomb blast. israel has lost TWO civilians in a year of hamas bombing. yes i guess two israeli lives are equal to 200+ palestinian civilians.

I also wish you safety and I wish for this war to end.
Two questions.
Do you expect Israel to do nothing while Hamas rockets fall on their cities?
Is Hamas willing to stop all future rocket attacks in exchange for a cease fire?

is israel willing to leave palestine lands if hamas stops bombing them.
israel has been violating the border agreement for decades. they act like they have the right to do so. israel started forming in 1947 when the british allowed them to. the palestinians had nothing to do with the holocaust. yet the jews used the holocaust and the bible to say they deserved their land. while i do not have negative feelings about jews in general i have a strong negative reaction to zionist policies. they are commiting geneocide. the bombing from hamas have killed two people in over a year if not longer. israel thinks overwhelming force, killing hundreds (over 400 now, done in a few days.. how many in the upcoming month?) and wounding countless people is a good thing over the minor bombing. israel doesn't want to negotiate and give up the land they have no right to because of greedy israeli land grabbers. i use to admire israel before i read their history. they are murderers. they are acting like hitlers.

The question should be, when will Israel be willing to allow UN peace keeper in?
When will Israel lift the blockade and allow NGO and humanitarian aid in again?
When will Israel give back the occupied territories and allow as well as respect a Palestinian State and government?
When will Israel stop assassinating Palestinian Politician and officials and respect an elected Government even if that one is not to Israel's liking?
at 18:29 on January 2nd, 2009
Paschen, with respect, that is not today the issue. If Hamas stops firing rockets and sending suicide bombers into Israel, Israel will not attack Hamas in any way.
WHEN that happens they can talk about two way respect, territory and state to state recognition.
The fact is that Hamas willfully provoked Israel by firing rockets at cities. The blame today lies with Hamas for this war.

Yes it is, since all evil has a root and the root of this disaster can be traced back to the those points exactly. The Election where not respected, Hamas could have done what ever and would still have been out-cased by Israel and the US as well as Europe. Palestine has been pocked and teased and abused so much that you may called it an act of self defence or last resort that Gaza is doing in despair.

Paschen,
Palestine is not doing this, Hamas is. The disaster can be traced back to the Arab 1947 invasion of land designated by by the UN to belong to Israel.
The fact is Hamas can do little damage to Israel and Israel can flatten Gaza if it wishes, with 50,00 deaths. Whatever their grievances and the rightness of their cause, they cannot win this in this generation so their choice is to behave like a civilized country or condemn two more generations of Gazans to misery.
I am not choosing sides in this dispute but I am saying Hamas was stupid and callous in regard to its citizens deaths, by willfully provoking Israel. I blame Hamas stupidity for the deaths that have and will result.
Do you remember Georgia/Russia last year. Right did not win. Military force did.

In 1947 the UN was just funded and controlled by the US and GB there for the creation of Israel was never legal in the first place since it did not take into account the people that lived there nor the surrounding states or countries.
Hamas had no chance from the very moment they where elected and Israel as well as the US mad sure off that.
I do not like Hamas my self and yet I have to admit they are the victims here.
If Israel want to be respected it will have to respect Hamas and Palestine and give back all occupied territories first.

Ever spot of land on earth is occupied by someone who did not originally own it.
What exactly is "occupied land"there? All of Israel?
Gaza people are victims. Israeli civilians are victims. Hamas is the cause of them being victims.
If Hamas wants respects it must stop firing rockets at civilians.
Fact. If Hamas recognized the present Gaza/Israel border and stopped all attacks across it, there would be peace and prosperity.
If Hamas claims all of Israel and continues shooting at civilians two more generations of Gazans-those who survive- will grow up in misery and poverty.

The Palestinians should not be penalized for Hamas’ action, no matter what Hamas’ politics represents. Despite the fact that it has been proven by human rights organizations, Israel continues to use its propaganda claiming that it is going after Hamas targets as it demolishes residential areas: homes, mosques, and deliberately targets women and children, as they did in Lebanon’s war and the last two Intifadas.
Hamas' rockets are a retaliation to the blockade that should have been removed within weeks after they signed truce with the Israeli government in Egypt. Israel has but itself to blame for the continuation of the rockets.
The Arabs have been ready to make peace with Israel since the eighties. Mistakes have been made on both sides, but nothing an honest and genuine negotiation could not have overcome. It is time to start looking at the real instigator of the Middle East problems and stop blaming the Arabs for Israel's aggression.
