Washington, DC – The city has implemented a new Booting for Dollars program. Heighten collection activities include booting a car parked on Connecticut Avenue. This car, a Land Rover with Virginia plate JNU-7094 was parked in a lane that is authorized for parking except during rush hour. Typically, parking in these temporarily parking lanes grants a ticket scofflaw immunity from booting. The city does not want a booted car left to block rush hour traffic. Collecting the $1,448.00 in outstanding tickets on this one vehicle outweighs the potential inconvenience of 1,000's of commuters.

The Bootie is from Virginia, and the rush-hour lanes lead to Maryland, so it entertains me in DC. DC, Maryland and Virginia combine to form the National D.M.V!
