Washington, DC – Last week, a 38-year-old WMATA bus driver, Shawn Brim afooted from his bus, checked his mirrors, punched McGruff the Crime Dog in the face, and then returned to his route. He was stopped and arrested for assaulting the costumed MPD officer.

Early Sunday morning, a 34-year-old WMATA bus driver, Jelani Slay approached an off-duty MPD officer sitting in a parked personal vehicle. When confronted by this robber, the only thing the officer gave up was the bullet that killed Mr. Slay.

You can read the court histories of Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) bus drivers or anyone else at the DC Courts Docket by just entering their names. Mr. Brim has an arrest record in DC but no convictions. Mr. Slay had convictions for robbery and carrying a pistol in DC.
