Washington, DC - Protesters gathered outside the White House at Lafayette Park in the rain and the mud to denounce government spending. A woman with an American flag umbrella stood in front of the nearby Treasury Building telling passers by that the Treasury Department had revoked their permit to protest in front of their building. She directed people to the main protest site at Lafayette Park.
