Deanna Higgins, a teacher at Spring High School, was harged with sexual assault and improper relations between an educator and a student. This charge stems from incidents which came to a head in January of this year, when Deanna Higgins was placed on paid administrative leave.  A second, still unnamed teacher is also involved in the investigation, and has also been placed on administrative leave. Here is a link to the letter (pdf) posted on the Spring IDS website; this letter outlines the charges against Deanna Higgins and is also being mailed to parents of students at Spring High School.

In a letter to parents posted on the Spring ISD Web site, administrators say the DA accepted charges against Deanna Higgins on Monday.

Whether it's a Texas town or a BC one, it is never ok to take advantage of your students in any way.  If the allegations are true, they should throw the book at her.

mrs. higgins was my teacher she was soo cool i cant believe she did something like that it was a real eye opener but she was a great teacher and most likely what her and that student did was not just in act of her own so the student should be punished also because they also participated in what they both were doing TOGETHER!
