Maria Barbu was found dead by her parents in a bath on June 17. The teenager was electrocuted by her laptop, while Twittering. The accidental Twitter death occurred in Brasov, Romania.

A teenage girl was electrocuted after dropping her laptop into the bath as she twittered in the tub.

Update: Pro TV, a Romanian news network, has reported that the tween's name was Flavia Boricean, not Maria Barbu. Also the laptop did not fall into the bathtub, but instead electricity was conducted through Flavia Boricean's wet hand.

Flavia B., o tânără în vârstă de 17 ani din Braşov, a fost găsită moartă duminică aseară, în baia apartamentului familiei sale.

Flavia Boricean's childhood friend has posted an online memorial to her on Blogger.

There really are occasions when it is not appropriate to tweet. So unnecessary.

We should only wish healing for the family and not be so quick to make jokes. I am sure that this young girl had so many happy days ahead of her, and I hope her family finds peace and that they are left alone to grieve the loss of their daughter.

This is sad. I hope that this accident is not in vane and that others learn from it.

I am the owner of the blog.

PLEASE REMOVE THE LINK.
I have recieved so many hurtful comments! Plus, Google Translade made a whole mumbo-jumbo out of my story.
ALSO, she didn't have an account on twitter. That is PURE FICTION.
Please respond.

You should be ashamed... you have no right to make fun of this situation, not you or enybody else.Of course it's all bullshit, the journalists want a big story and they make it if it's not.

Her death should be a leasson for all of us, and if you don't think that you may as well just shut up.. at least for her parents who know the truth and  suffer when they hear that someone is making fun of their daughter.
