Debra LaFave Wants Contact with Children Again After Sex Charge

Debra LaFave, the Florida teacher who was sentenced to house arrest for having sex with a 14-year-old student of hers, wants to be allowed to have supervised contact with the children of her friends and relatives again.

Debra LaFave is now on seven years probation, but she served two and years of house arrest before that. One of her conditions is a ban on contact with children, but she wants that lifted now and will have a hearing on Thursday to determine if that will happen.

Debra pleaded guilty to the charge of sex with a 14-year-old student in 2006 and admitted that she had sex with him in a classroom and in her home.

The case became tabloid fodder at several turns. LaFave had posed in skimpy outfits for modeling shoots, and her lawyer once suggested the blonde was too attractive to go to jail.
