Def Jam’s Executive VP found dead at age 34 by Hip Hop Music
Shakir Stewart, Jay-Z’s replacement as Executive Vice President of Def Jam Records, was found dead in the bath room of his Georgia home. According to the Cobb County Police, Stewart was taken to an Atlanta hospital on Sunday November 2, 2008 after suffering a self-inflicted gunshot wound he was found with a single shot gun wound it is belived he commited suicide load off hiphop artists have paid tribute to the Shakir stewart who was the go between man he was behind the signing off beyonce shakir it was said he was living in pain he was the stayed at def jam after Jay z left its a sad situation for hiphop.
The 34-year -old took the Executive V.P. position shortly after Jay-Z resigned in December of 2007. A great loss for hiphop.
