Delhi school stampede kills five:India
Five girl died in a stampade in school, in Khajuri khas area in capital delhi of India. More than 40 are injured, doctors say that some of them are critically injured.
Girls were in school, inspite of heavy overnite rain, to take exam. But this exam turned out to be more tough for them. No body is taking responsiblity for the incident, every one, from CM to principle, is trying to find face saving excuse.
What ever excuse they give, neglegence on the part of teachers have caused this killing.
At least five girls have been killed in a stampede at a state-run school in a crowded area of the Indian capital, Delhi, police and doctors say.
The stampede in Khajuri Khas area also injured 24 students. Doctors say five of them are critical.
Officials said the stampede took place when a group of girl students, who tried to run down a narrow staircase, collided into a group of boys going up. The school is waterlogged following a night of heavy rains in Delhi.
Earlier reports said the stampede was sparked by rumours that electric current had entered water due to a short-circuit.
The wounded have been taken to Guru Teg Bahadur hospital. The state authorities have ordered an inquiry into the incident.
Police have cordoned off the area and a huge crowd of anxious parents and local people has gathered outside the school.
The girls were writing an exam when they were asked to evacuate, Mr Kalra said and added that there were 1,300 to 1,400 students in the school at the time.

Unfortunately, this is not about being SAD.It is just a simple case of negligence and the authorities need to be punished. But unfortunately it will not happen.

" The school normally runs separate shifts for boys and girls but exams are held together" - Times of IndiaWhy are these people running seperate shifts for boys and girls? It' s hightime that our schools stop seperating boy and girl students unnecessarely. I guess the exams are the only chance for these boys to see the girls in their school and thus prompted them to make some comments on them. In my opinion things like girls only schools should be abolished.
