A teenage girl from from northern Indian state of Haryana, seeking job in Delhi, was lured by a woman and allegedly sold  to two persons who along with three others repeatedly raped her.

Two persons had been arrested on charges of purchasing and repeatedly raping the girl who hailed from Palwal district.

Three others, one of them a resident of Jahangirpuri in Delhi, allegedly involved in the sordid episode, were still at large, police said adding efforts were on to apprehend them.

A 14-year-old girl from Palwal in Haryana, looking for a job in Delhi, was lured by a woman at the railway station and allegedly sold for Rs 1 lakh to two people. They, along with three others, repeatedly raped her, police said.

Two people have been arrested. Three others, one of them a resident of Jehangirpuri in Delhi, are still at large. The two arrested men, one of whom allegedly bought the girl, are from Sonepat district, police said.

The incident came to light when the girl somehow escaped from the clutches of these men and managed to reach the Murthal police station in Sonepat district last week.

In her complaint, she said she had been sexually assaulted several times in the past one month when she was being held back by a man called Jaiveer of Nangal Khurd village in Sonepat. She became easy prey because her father had passed away seven months ago leaving her an orphan. Her mother had died a few years back.

She said she had been given shelter by a woman, Shakuntala, a resident of Jehangirpuri colony in Delhi who promised to treat her as her daughter. However, after a couple of months, the woman allegedly sold her to Jaiveer for Rs 1 lakh. The girl was taken to Nangal Khurd village on January 14 by the accused who told her that she was now married to him.
