On Sep. 16, 2008 an AICC delegation went to meet Democrat Rep Rush Holt in Washington DC to discuss the current issues affecting the Indo-American community of New Jersey .

Besides Rep Rush Holt there were other Representatives McDermott & Crawley as well as Ron Sumers (US and India Business Relationship), Adam Harris (SIOP, Intelligence and India), Donald Camp (principal Deputy Asst Secretary for South Asian Affairs USSD), Woody Olmsted (Senior Immigration officer), Paul Onyango (USCIS Customer Service Division), Xixala S Perez (Congressional Liasion Specialist), Gabriella Gomez (House Labor & Labor committee) and finally Rohit Tripathi (Energy & Development in India)

Gabriella Gomez on the issue of Education namely College Cost Reduction Act of 2007 in which Democrat controlled Congress is making false claims of reducing the cost of students Loans. The fact is poor students are exploited by the Federal appointed middleman with fancy names like Student Loans MY RICH UNCLE providing these Loans at 10.92% per annum.

Question on Education to Ms. Gabriella: Being a check casher I am privy to certain information which an average Joe is not. Last month I cashed a check for a Business undergrad Student from Seaton Hall Law School and I was horrified to look at his loan papers. Why Federal is outsourcing the disbursement of students loans to Middleman like MY RICH UNCLE who are charging almost 11% per annum where as I am paying 5.5% for my home and 5.49 for my car note?
