Fire eventually spread to cockpit. No major crash at the airport before.

kachur - the Twitter guy says the engine was on fire already, and exploded, which would explain how the takeoff failed and the fire spread. The engine might well have picked up something that broke a fuel line.

If the right engine was lost, the plane would go to the right, not the left. The right engine caught fire because it was damaged during the a/c's exit from the runway.

Anyone else wonder if this might have something to do with the tail rudder anomoly?
