Cairo: Deposed Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak is very ill and has slipped into coma, says the state’s media. He is being treated at Sharm-el-Sheik. These reports said that he has fainted twice during his speech to the nation before stepping down.

Locals in the resort city told the media that they were informed by the guards at the villa he was incarcerated in, that he was bedridden and needed help in walking.  However, the condition now went beyond that and he has slipped into coma, these reports say.

The Telegraph quoted a teacher as saying that Mubarak was suffering from cancer.

That's pretty amazing!  If true, it shows how, often times, when the props of our life are removed, we fold.  No wonder he held on so tight.
