Deputy Fired Over Twin Peaks Sexy Waitress Photo

Midland Country Sheriff Gary Painter fired one deputy and suspended three others without pay as their punishments for giving a service rifle to a young, blond, scantily-dressed waitress at Twin Peaks Restaurant and letting her pose for photographs on the hood of a patrol vehicle. The group of sheriffs will not face criminal charges.
On Aug. 10 Round Rock police were called to the restaurant at 100 E. Louis Henna Blvd. after someone reported seeing a waitress holding what appeared to be a rifle in the parking lot, according to a police report. The deputies were taking photos as she held it, the report said.
Twin Peaks is a restaurant chain with locations scattered across Texas. As they boast of their "fun friendly and sometimes flirty atmosphere," waitresses at Twin Peaks Restaurant typically wear halter tops and short shorts.
The deputies admitted of having about three to five beers each that night.
Some residents applauded the Sheriff Painters decision. "Them letting this deputy go is probably the best decision that they could have made," Resident Andrea Martinez, said. Others like Nathan Williams felt the punishment was too excessive. "I think something should have been done. Although, I don't think the deputy should have been fired. I understand there needed to be a clear message to all the law enforcement officers, but I do think they should have stopped short of termination," Williams said.

My name is Vanda Purvis better known as the waitress pictured above "Bambi." I grew up around guns, my whole life I've owned weapons. I am an expret marksman and as a matter of fact, I own my own AR15...(I think every Texas girl should!) the exact gun I am pictured with. Its sad that off duty, unintoxicated, gentleman can't come and have a good time without things blowing wayyyyy out of proportion. They have an extremely tough profession and lets be honest, if they handed that gun to the Mayor for a picture this wouldn't be news but because they handed it to little blonde me, everyone is all up in arms over it.
