DETROIT — Detroit is on pace to have its lowest number of homicides in more than 40 years.

As of Monday, the Detroit Police Department unofficially recorded 340 homicides, about 14% less then last year's total of 396.

The number is the lowest homicide total since 1967, although the city's population was about 1.5 million then and is about 917,000 now.

Perhaps this will be a new trend?

My cousin was killed this year, and the people who did it were never found.

An innocent man just getting gas and he saw two young girls being man handled by strangers, when he went to help them, two other guys got out of a car and they killed him.

Sensless.

If the people of this world would stop trying so hard to destroy each other, and work together, we could accomplish so much.
