Diane Schuler's Husband Wants to Exhume Body for Test
Diane Schuler's husband, Daniel Schuler wants her body exhumed to prove that she wasn't drinking when the collision happened. Diane Schuler, 36, was killed in a collision with an SUV, along with her 2 year old daughter, 3 nieces aged 5, 7, and 8, and the 3 men in the SUV. Daniel Schuler said, "someone messed up somewhere" in Larry King Live show on Tuesday night.
Diane Schuler's body was found to have a blood alcohol content of 0.19, more than twice of the legal limit, as well as traces of marijuana. Her husband is unconvinced. He believes his wife may have suffered from stroke-like symptoms when the incident happened, and the high alcohol content in her blood was caused by the fire.
"I read from the medical autopsy report that there was charring of the body because there was a fire," Barbera told CNN. "And I found -- my doctors found numerous cases where you can actually have sugar in the blood turn into alcohol."
The lawyer, Dominic Barbara, said Tuesday on CNN’s “Larry King Live” that an investigation had found enough cause to dig up the body of Diane Schuler.
Donna Greene, a spokeswoman for Westchester’s chief medical examiner, Dr. Millard Hyland, said the county stands behind the autopsy results.
