Hit and Run Man Indicted

A man accused of seriously injuring two people with his sport-utility vehicle after he ran outon his restaurant bill was indicted yesterday on one count of aggravated robbery and four counts offelonious assault.

If convicted on all counts, Michael A. Rose, 43, of 2348 Graydon Blvd., could be sent to prisonfor 42 years.

Rose is accused of leaving Haiku, at 800 N. High St. in the Short North, without paying his billof $101.41.

Bartender Rachel Widomski, 28, and Haiku co-owner Julie Liu, 43, tried to stop Rose, but hebacked into them with his SUV, police said. Liu suffered a concussion and broken ribs; Widomski isparalyzed and not expected to walk again.
