Dirty game of politics

Today I want to write about the Dirty game of politics. This is in response to a report that Malaysian's opposition party leader Karpal Singh accused MPs during a parliamentary session of sending him bullets in their mails.

Malaysia has one of the most hilarious Parliamentary session ever in my opinion, a few months back during one of the sessions a "leak" to the media about MP's name calling, verbally abusive language and shoe throwing made it out to the front of the headlines. Those were crazy times in response to the looming economic downturn at the end of 2008 and of course the annual Malaysian General Elections. Many people in the UMNO and ruling party Barisan National ( not for too long now...) panicked that the opposition gained numbers in voters enabling them to enter Parliament, winning 1/3 seats.

Another headline in the newspapers a couple of month's back which i did a report on; Malaysian's Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi resignation in February 2009. Now is a week left to March 2009 and he has not made any move, indication, not even a whisper to resign anytime soon.

Recently in the state of Perak, a new hot story regarding our friend opposition leader Karpal Singh against the state's king, our friend apparently wanted to take "legal action" against the state's sultan for allowing the UMNO lead party to power and ordering his opposition party to quit.

Let me tell you something about Karpal Singh, he is still the best damn lawyer in the whole of Malaysia, known for his many wins in criminal cases and high profile ones including one of mine ( and im not going to tell you which one ), all in all he is a very good lawyer. His law firm make lots of money charging appointment fees for Rm5000, and now he has entered politics to shake things up, which is good in my opinion. The ruling party needs some tough opponents because they have been lazy since my late father was made Malaysian deputy prime minister 1986-1993.

My late father made his peace and resign his position because of a new comer to politics that had controversial gimmick to his slogan "reformasi" (reformation). Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi replaced the previous PM Tun Mahathir Mohammad, and he managed to create a racial hateful small but growing community called Hindraf which was unheard of again, not since the Malaysian state of emergency May 13th 1969. Our current PM was heard saying during a Ramadan celebration in his house that he is going to benefit in his current positions and make it his point to do what is necessary to make alot of money. Now his genuineness is questionable, alot of people is mocking and making fun of his administration. And he will be replaced by his current deputy which was rumored to have killed anything in his path to reach his ultimate goal; becoming PM which sparked further upraising and controversy among Malaysians.

I honestly do not want to abide anything that has to do with my lawful citizenship if a murderer was going to be my  Prime Minister. Many bad things I predict will happen in this country, and eventually it will become the thing that it hates the most; Indonesia. Whatever happens to spotless political background? Like Barack Obama! Peaceful idealism like Barack Obama. Progress and change campaign like Barack Obama. He uses to word "truth", "trust" and economic "turn around" in most of his public addresses, why can't we all have one of his many ideals in our presidents and prime ministers?

It has been rumored that the ruling party even take the list of dead people and crossed referenced them as legitimate voters in the current election. This report would not be available if you would like to verify it of course, but try typing Raja Petra, a Malaysian blogger I covered in my earlier report that was freed from Jail for writing up "stuff" online about our Deputy Prime Minister.

Politics will always be a dirty game, but recently it has gotten way out of hand. For the love of power and money, politics have smeared the once proud Malaysia. The Malaya and UMNO my late father believed in.
