Then again, Japan knows ups and downs. It is absolutely incredible that a country bounded by volcanoes and the sea, with so few natural resources can be a superpower that it is. It comes from the hardworking culture and pride of Japanese people, I think.

The Greeks had that once. They might get it again when thy stop acting like Italians. Greece is not an island nation, however.
