Donna Jackson shot an intruder dead during a 911 call when she sought help. Donna Jackson, a 57-year-old Oklahoma resident, was at home when a man, Billy Dean Riley, tried to break into her home. In the 911 call, Jackson repeatedly said she did not want to kill him. Jackson will not be charged for killing the man, according to the local district attorney's office.
Donna Jackson said she had a shotgun. She said, "I don't want to have to kill this man, but I'll kill him graveyard dead, ma'am." The 911 dispatcher then informed Jackson her right to defend her home.

If anyone knows how to contact Mrs. Jackson I would love to send her a card of sympathy. I listened to over half of the entire (32 min) 911 call and was literally crying because I felt so bad that she had to defend herself. I feel that she was completely in the right and did everything by the book. I live in a rural area on a small farm that is about 12 minutes from a police station and don't know what I would do if this happened to me. Well, yes I guess I do, I'd do exactly what she did, shoot. My prayers are with Donna and her family and may God have mercy on the deceased intruder. Jean
