We (at VM, and several other mildly-sane individuals) can stand the auditory hell of acrylic nails on a chalk board, we can watch the sheer torture of our grandmas attempting to figure out google, we can even watch a chunky kid squeeze a red balloon to it's near demise... But one thing we ABSO-FREAKIN-LUTELY cannot stand is ANY-- ANY politician criticizing the proposed plan of any other politician without the expected dignity of proposing one himself!
We don't want to see Obama crash and burn before or during the general election. But we are disheartened at the reality that Americans seem to be taken like little enamored rodents to the tune of a pide piper at mere sound bytes and unfounded promises. Obama feeds on the public's desperation for an end to the status quo, or (woe). He rides to resonance of words like "CHANGE," "HOPE" "AUDACITY." To us, it merely spells R-H-E-T-O-R-I-C.
Rhetoric is old school politics. Where is a physical manifestation of the great change Obama stands for? Where are the solutions? Where are the speeches of tactical plans to ease the weight on American citizens? Why hasn't he been able to nail the final nails in Clinton's coffin? Why is there such a disconnect with middle class America? How does he plan to win the election without the support of older Americans. Why can't he win "swing" states, large states, or election determining states? There will come a point when no amount of media cushion or democratic endorsement will be able to assist Obama. He will have to answer, and we hope to Goodness he has been stashing away actual solutions.
Before we are sent links to Obama's site which highlights "his" proposed plans, understand this: we are aware. We simply cannot understand why his plans do not take center stage in his speeches. And why he is able to get away with it. Disregard of including his plans in his speeches make us question who actually came up with the solutions in the first place.
Who ever wrote his solutions, should tell who ever writes his speeches to include it in his next speech.
We hope to be surprised.
