Update: Turkestan Islamic Party releases second video warning of Olympic attacks
The Turkistan Islamic Party (TIP) issued a new threat on August 6, 2008 against the Beijing Olympics, and urged Muslims not to attend the games or be within the vicinity. This threat was issued in a nearly six minute video titled, “Call to the Global Muslim Ummah”. It bears a production date of August 1, 2008, and contains similar graphics to TIP’s previous video, from July 24, of the Beijing Olympics logo in flames. The speaker identifies himself as a representative of TIP, and urges Muslims to “choose your side”. To protect Muslims, he asks them to keep their children from attending the games, and gives a broader warning: “Do not stay on the same bus, on the same train, on the same plane, in the same buildings, or any place the Chinese are.” Also, the representative calls upon Muslims to offer support financially, physically, spiritually, and by their words. ... It looks like the terroristic activity is getting heavier in China. Latest news is an big attack the police with hand-grenates. Sixteen policemen were killed. According to local police this is a terroristic attack and the regional public security department had got clues suggesting that the "East Turkistan Islamic Movement" planned to make terrorist attacks during August 1-8, just ahead of the opening of the Olympic Games in Beijing.

Little-known Muslim group claims responsibility for a series of explosions in Chinese cities and warns that its next target will be the Beijing Games. See article in the Guardian
Older article: This morning China got his first terroristic attack on several places. In Kunming the first attack on a bus took place at 07:10 on West Renmin Road. The second attack took place not far from the first at 08:05 on the crossing of Changyuan Road and West Renmin Road, say around the corner. At least three people were killed and 14 others were heavily wounded. Probably a third bus exploded with a simular kind of bomb-attack in Minshan district. News about that explosion is not certain. Some newsagencies talk about an explosion and other say there nothing unusual in Minshan.
Update 22-7: Chinese police are investigating a bizarre text message warning residents of Kunming to avoid buses hours before two bomb blasts killed two passengers in the Monday rush hour, local media reported. "The general mobilization of ants... (I) hope citizens receiving this message will not take bus lines 54, 64 and 84 tomorrow morning," the newspaper quoted the message as saying. I think this is an important story and would benefit from other NowPublic contributors working on it. I've flagged it as News Wanted and invite others in relevant locations to look for more evidence.

Latest news on the bus-attacks:
It is no terroristic-attack and it is not against the Olympic Games in China says policechief Du Min of the Kunming Public Security Bureau. See photo
But you never sure in China with this kind of messages of the officials. In the meantime they raised the reward for tips that will lead to the atackers (or terrorists) from $16.000 to $50.000, so they really want to know what was going on. Why were these busses attacked, why were the bomb-explosions anounced and if it was not against the Olympic, against which issue in China is this protest.

Yes, why are you asking that. You are supervisor of the Olympic Channel. Why are you advising me to add my story to others. May be you should advise those others to add information to my story. Before that was marked as news wanted and that is still actual.

Well, it depends on what you call earlier. I started my story on a Olympic Jihad some time ago. I looked to the tags. Didn't you see my comment about the fact that this story don't show up in the Olympic Channel.
Furthermore i added the link to this story to all other stories on the same subject.
