Fire has damaged Downey Studios, a film production studio located in Downey, California, southeast of Los Angeles. The fire appears to have been caused by an exploding propane tank.

Downey Studios is a 50,000-square-foot facility that has been used in the production of major Hollywood films like Cloverfield, The Prestige, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, Van Helsing, Pineapple Express, and Indiana Jones and Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
