Dr. Alan Keyes of StopObamaNotreDame.com Arrested in Protest
Just days after announcing his plans to rally in a Stop Obama Notre Dame protest former US Ambassador, 2004 Senate rival of Barack Obama, and one-time US presidential hopeful Dr. Alan Keyes was arrested along with 20 other anti-abortion activists.
The May 8, 2009 protest was organized by StopObamaNotreDame.com. Dr. Alan Keyes and his supporters are against the decision by Notre Dame administrators to host US President Barack Obama at the 2009 Commencement ceremony May 17, 2009 where he will be given an honorary Doctorate degree from the prestigious Catholic university.
They were arrested at Notre Dame for peacefully, quietly, walking on campus with baby carriages carrying dolls covered with stage blood.
Randall Terry, leader of the StopObamaNotreDame.com campaign, states:
"Notre Dame arrests Christians who defend babies, and honors a man who kills them. This is an open wound in the Church. The question is this: Will a Catholic Bishop step up and demand this betrayal of the Faith be brought to a halt?"
Video of arrests: A YouTube video will be posted soon of the arrests. Please keep checking at www.StopObamaNotreDame.com

I am a Catholic, and 58 years old. I oppose of Obama, speaking at Notre Dame, for Obama is not the "Savior", but might be in fact the anti-Christ. Obama's belief in abortions and supports the actions of abortation, and his religious faith of Rev. wright who "God damms America" is not one who should speak at ND. Obama, alone did not support "National Prayer day", what does this tell you? I ask for the resignation of all the Notre Dma staff and Adminastration who support Obama in speaking at Notre Dame. why are you people so against the prsident of the United States speaking at Notre Dame U. because you disagree with his stand on abortion? you didn't protest george bush when he was killing thousands of inocent babies in Iraq. you are nothing more than a bunch of hypocrits. sean hannity and russ limbaugh are nothing more than a freak sideshow.

rufus,
It is rush limbaugh, not russ limbaugh. If you listened to him you would hear alot of common sense. Hannity does come across a bit like a sideshow, I admit. What I don't understand is your comparison of killing "babies" in Iraq to the evil of abortion. They are not equal offenses for several reasons, and even if you were right in presuming such an unbalanced consideration, would two wrongs make a right?

Rufus...time has taught me to listen to those around me....Most, if not all, are scared to death of Obama.....I know that I am.....my Dad and my G'father had a great deal to do with how I view the world and those around me. I have been lucky enough to live or stay for a short time in 24 different countries........please believe me when I tell you that I have always been so excited to land in New York or Los Angeles........ you have no idea....

Obama should not be speaking at a catholic university. He is to the extreme of what the church believes. I am shocked so many students are embracing him. The catholic leadership should take a stand for righteousness sake. May our Lord give them the courage to take a stand against evil.

I am not Catholic, but I am pro-life. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I know how I would feel if my Church's University (Brigham Young University) had invited Mr Obama to speak and receive an honorary degree. I think it is wrong for Notre Dame to invite someone who is very outspoken about being not just pro-choice, but pro-abortion. It is just not right.

Virginia I could not agree more. I also am LDS and think Obama should not be speaking or receiving any type of degree from a religious roganization.

I am not a catholic but I oppose B. Hussien Obama speaking anywhere that believes in childrens rights, especially the unborn. This pseudo president would rather kill them.

I am saddened and terrified for our present and our future because we have a president who is more concerned about what he considers torture of terrorists than he does about the torture of the unborn and aborted babies born alive. He supports tearing those babies apart to get them out of the womb and supports throwing them aside to die if they are still alive when aborted. But he is against pouring water in the faces of terrorists. Dear God, what has our world come to?

To Mr. Watson (Rufus), you can't even write a complete sentence correctly or use the correct spelling, capitalization, or punctuation; therefore, if you want people to take you seriously, I recommend you act and write as if you have good sense. If you do that, I will listen to your point of view. In the meantion, you sound as if you are foaming at the mouth with hatred. Please remember that Bush is no longer in office; you don't know what the rest of us have or have not protested against; and to call Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh a freak sideshow is a reflection of your taste and your inability to tolerate a different point of view.
