It behooves me to inform everyone the complicated mess in our Health Care Industry. No wonder people don't want to have universal health care coverage, because who is going to take care of all the patients, and who really understands the doctor language?

How many years does it take to become a doctor? I have always heard at least 12 years. That is a mighty long time, and it is really expensive to get that Dr. diploma in order to serve people and to help them take care of themselves. But the long time needed to study to become a doctor is because of the language. You might as well consider becoming a doctor is the same as learning a foreign language, except it is in English.

Finally ABC News and others are getting the message to get it out that we just don't think we really understand all this Doctor mumbo jumbo language. And really we think probably a lot of medical professionals don't either.

http://abcnews.go.com/Health/story?id=5323746&page=1

More than three in four emergency room patients do not fully understand the instructions that doctors give them after their visits, new research suggests.

Even worse, not only do the patients not understand the care instructions from their doctors, but the vast majority are also unaware that they have not fully understood what the doctor has told them.

It's like a duck trying to talk to a chicken, when I have pains laying an egg, when really I am shocked when I get the ducks bill.

Why is it that the fabulous and domestic schemes of intelligence harbor on the brink of proverbial bullS$%! when simple right to point words would save time and money.

Opthalmology....anyone know that word off hand...How about exchanging it for: Eye Department.

Flatulence: how about using the word gas?

Jaundice: how about yellow skin?

Adenoma: or  how about tumor?

Borborygmi: or gurgling sounds.

Steatorrhea: really means:  fat in my poop.

These are just a handful of examples to the real problem in being able to understand medicine in taking care of our own personal health care. If it is a problem for regular people to understand try getting a Doctor to explain his 12 years of study to a patient who is sick and ill, in a short visit!

Dreadful and really idiotic.

In  America we tout the greatest technology and successes, but really they are a sham. We as Americans want more simplicity and realistic language that we can understand. It is bad enough trying to understand the Political Mumbo Jumbo in our Democracy, let alone know how to understand the Medical stuff we need to know in order to stay healthy. "Oh shut the hell up Rev. Jermano"; as they shove a hamburger and 25 hotdogs down my throat.

You know I am no retard and I know the difference between being hoodwinked about going to college to be a doctor for the price involved. What do you want me to be?  A doctor?  To study for 12 years and then speak a foreign language to honest decent folks who happen to be sick. And then when I got them really confused that I am a doctor, I hand them my inflated Bill and make the sick people pay that kind of fee?

It's a total rip off and scam I think. I enrolled to study to become a Medical Transcriptionist. And when the book arrived I was rather overwhelmed. Just looking at all those terms, and words when they could have been much more clearer in how to explain things. Then when the Sichuan Earthquake came I decided I could not pay for the course right away, because my money went to help in the relief efforts, having given a big chuck of my savings to help them, and giving blood.

I can just imagine how crazy it would be to have to tell this kind of  Doctor talk to people in disaster conditions.

Really there should be a much more easily understood medical language that I would dare say should be Globally acceptable for all languages to understand. Would that be hard to create? Yeah, but probably not as hard as trying to understand the twisted language of Doctor-Nurse talk in the English language in the USA or Canada.

I think the USA is under a Tonic Clonic Seizure when it comes to studying medicine and having the rest of the population understand it too. So let's not diaphoresis it? Let's not sweat it? Not!

OK Obama here is your change you wanted. Can we Change this mumbo jumbo doctor nightmare?

In other countries in the world they have more down to earth remedies and explanations toward medicine so the everyday person can understand it. And they don't charge an arm and a leg for their services. Why can't I get medication from China or India to treat my illness instead of needing to use over priced pharmaceutical aristocratic stuff, we don't really understand, being generic or the real fake placebo pill.

Here is a good website I found thanks to Azzayindia and his weblink to Ayurveda medicine: http://www.divyayoga.com/acharyaBalkrishanJi.htm

You know China has been around in this world for over 7,000 years compared to the USA of 232 years. I think they know much more about health than the West does. And I have to tell you I have been here in China now for 7 years, and my health has been very good since coming here. In fact I no longer have the recurring earaches I always had when I lived in the USA. They have a much more real and better means to communicating to the people about real health care. At least chinese people can understand their doctor, in comparison to American people understanding their doctors. I really like the chinese way of medical support and showing people how to take care of themselves.
