Drone attack in Pakistan's tribal region, casualties feared

The Zardari's response after the US visit is visible, and they are ready to move troops fron indo-pak border to fight the terrorism.

Suspected United States drone conducted a strike in Pakistan's tribal region on Saturday and casualties were feared, private TV channel DAWN NEWS reported.

The attack occurred in Sararogha area of South Waziristan tribal region, said the report.

The ongoing offensive to eliminate the terror stronghold in AfPak border is in full swing.

Several militants’ hideouts have been destroyed during ongoing operation of security forces in Swat and Dir.

Many causalities feared in bombardment on suspect hideouts of militants in Mangal Tan area of tehsil Charbagh. Indefinite curfew remained in place in district Swat and Malakand Agency.

Security forces continued pounding militants’ strongholds in Mingora, adjoining areas and Khawazakhela as gunship helicopters hovering over Mingora city. Tense situation in restive areas created shortage of food and medicines.

On the other hand, search operation to curb militants and suspects continued in Buner and neighboring areas. Official sources said security forces launched search operation in Buner, Pir Baba and adjoining areas and several suspected people were arrested during the operation. Some of them were released whereas remaining still under custody for investigation.

This is going to end up in heavy fighting for a long time. The tribal areas terrain does not lend itself to easy clearing. Meanwhile the casualties are mounting. Amitjha how is this being reported in India, opinions, etc.?

So, in your view, Amithjha, do you think Zidari is serious about cleansing the Army and tackling the Taliban or is he just bent on getting mondey from the US? What is your view?

Your doubt is absolutely correct Gerry, this is nothing but money game, the policy is to flame the fire then pour dollar to control it. Thats the way dollar hagemony works.
