Three boats and hundreds of kilograms of marijuana resin have been seized 25km off the eastern coast of Nova Scotia, Canada.  11 people, including one non-Canadian citizen, have been arrested and charges are pending.

Police allege that a sailboat with the marijuana resin was anchored offshore while two other boats were used to transport the drugs to shore, the CBC's Blair Sanderson reported.

They also allege the drug operation is linked to organized crime in Ontario and that the drugs were bound for other parts of North America.

The source of the drugs has not been disclosed and an estimated dollar value has not been given, but the drugs will be on display for media Monday, police said.
