Redstone Arsenal military officers will investigate how avehicle breached Gate 1 Friday during a high-speed chasewith the Huntsville Police Department, and, althoughunrelated to the fatal chase, several gates will receivesecurity improvements over the next month, the post'ssenior commander said Monday.
Maj. Gen. Jim Myles, Army Aviation and Missile Commandcommanding general, said an internal investigation would beconducted to find out how much warning gate guards weregiven during the lunch-time chase that ultimately crossedmost of the arsenal and ended in a crash that killed oneMarshall Space Flight Center worker and injured five otherarsenal employees.
