An amateur pilot from Germany got so intoxicated from consuming alcohol aboard his Cessna light aircraft, that he lost track of where the runway was. The pilot, who remains unnamed, was quoted saying on air, "Where the bloody hell have you hidden yourself?" Air controllers had to intervene by dispatching a chopper to guide the plane back to the runway.

"Come on, I know you're down there," he radioed. "Where the bloody hell have you hidden yourself?"
Control tower staff say he also sang a few songs, cracked a mother-in-law joke and told them to "pull their fingers out as I've got a party to go to".

It is believed the pilot was drinking beer and wine while in control of the aircraft. Upon landing, it was determined that the pilot was over four times the legal alcohol limit. His pilot license was revoked.
