Off-Duty Officer Killed by Police

Off-Duty Officer Killed by Police Baltimore City Police say an off-duty officer shot by police in Southeast Baltimore has died.

A police spokesman says the officer died at Shock Trauma shortly after 2 a.m. His name has not been released.

Police say police were called to an altercation shortly after midnight at Haven Street and Pulaski Highway. When police arrived, the man later identified as an off-duty officer drew his weapon, and police drew their guns and fired.

Officials tell ABC2 News that there will be a full police briefing at 9:30 a.m. at Baltimore Police Headquarters.
