The 'American miniature' horse - who suffers the double-whammy of being born a dwarf - has had a bout of health problems caused by his size, but he is now recovering and enjoying the life of a pampered pet.
The American miniature horse
is usually about 34 to 40 inches
tall. They are are friendly with
people and are often kept as family
pets.Some are also trained as service
animals, like assistant dogs for people
with disabilities. Even when trained they
prefer to live outside. They can 25 to
35 years.
