September 27th 2008 Early snow in Niseko kicks off the 2008/09 ski season for the worlds #2 snowiest ski resort.

Traditionally not landing till October, the surprise snowfall has pushed the many local construction companies who are riding the Niseko property boom into another gear to complete projects before the main snowfalls begin.

This year will be the busiest on record with many Niseko companies already reporting January being fully booked.

Snow today in Fairbanks, Alaska also. First snow this fall, although there was sleet yesterday.
