A strong 6.2 magnitude earthquake rocked and rolled the Southern Philippine island of Mindanao on Dec 25, 2008 at 3:20 UTC. No injuries were reported and no tsunami warnings were issued said Jane Punungbayan of PhilVocs. People panicked and ran and scampered out of public places.

The USGS said the quake was centered about 35 miles southeast of Gen. Santos or 680 south-southeast of Manila with a depth of 129 miles.

This earthquake was one of five earthquakes to happen on Dec 25, 2008 to be recorded by the USGS that are of  magtitudes higher than 5.0. The other earthquakes occurred in Hokkaido and Honshu in Japan, Vancouver Island in Canada and the Fiji Region. In total, there were 14 earthquake of measurable magnitude (2.0 and stronger) on December 25, 2008.

The bible speaks of earthquake occurring before the end comes. God help us all.
