Edgar Eusebio Millán Gómez was Cowardly Murdered

The Mexican government expressed its condolences for the cowardly murder of a model civil servant, committed to the safety of Mexican families, Edgar Eusebio Millán Gómez, General Coordinator of Regional Safety of the Federal Preventive Police Force.

Federal Government hailed the professional career and the determination with which Coordinator Millán Gómez fought crime and impunity as well as the damage he inflicted on the operating and financial structure of organized crime.

Edgar Eusebio Millán Gómez, a lawyer who trained with the world’s leading security agencies, served as Director General of Regional Police Deployment for the Federal Investigations Agency and Kidnapping Director at the Head Office of Police Investigation.

Millán Gómez was responsible for solving several kidnapping cases, as well as securing the release of Rubén Omar Romano, the then trainer of the Club Deportivo Cruz Azul. Millán Gómez played a strategic role in the Joint Operations undertaken throughout the country.

The Mexican Government will step up its crime fighting. The example set by Coordinator Millán Góme will encourage us to continue fighting against those that jeopardize Mexicans’ health and tranquility.
