The assassinated Sunday Leader Editor Lasantha Wickremetunga had taken nine calls and received 15 on his mobile phone, on the day he was killed, Mount Lavinia police told court on Thursday.He was killed by unidentified assailants opposite a primary school near the Attidiya Road in Mount Lavinia. |
| SI Sugathapala said investigations were being handled by the Mount Lavinia police and the Mirihana Special Investigations Division. The Mirihana Special Investigations Division submitted a report on Mr. Wickremetungas outgoing and incoming phone calls and requested that the person who had stolen his mobile phone and the three wheeler driver who had purchased it to be further detained.
